Scholars, editors, producers, and executives from around the world will gather in Oslo to discuss innovation in the media industry. The Symposium is a small, but very intense conference that examines the state of media innovations.

We invite submissions for papers on the following themes and any other related topics:
* New media services.
* New players in the media landscape.
* New roles of users.
* New practices by existing media organizations.

Abstract acceptance will be announced in December 2011. Full paper deadline 1 March, 2012. Best paper award will be announced during the conference. Selected papers from the symposium will be published in an anthology.
